Puerto Varas is a city in the X region of Los Lagos. The origin of this city dates back to the mid-nineteenth century where it was created from German colonization. Tourism is very strong in this area, having many tourist attractions linked to the beauty of nature that abounds in this region. The Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, the oldest in Chile, is known for its large area and beautiful forests, rivers and lakes, among them, the Todos los Santos Lake and the Petrohué River, where sport fishing is done, but mainly known by the Petrohué Falls of beautiful waterfalls. Talca is the capital of the VII Region of Maule.
